Chrysalis Award
Continuing to set new standards of professionalism, Lemke & Sons Construction from the Midwest Region of the US was honored at the twelfth annual Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence on June 9th at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta. The awards, sponsored by Qualified Remodeler magazine and Stock Building Supply, were presented during the Southern Building Show.
Judged by editors and writers of Better Homes & Gardens, Woman’s Day Special Interest Publications, Southern Living, and HGTV Pro, the winners were selected from 571 entries from 50 states. The entries were judged on overall design, the creative use of space and materials, and the degree to which the project enhanced the original structure.
This year, Lemke & Sons of Saint Paul, Minnesota won the award for Best Design Build Project: Kitchen Remodel Over $100,000.
“The goal was to provide our customer with a highly functional gourmet-style kitchen/gathering space for daily activities while keeping the space warmly lit to invite informal conversation,” Steve Lemke, Owner of Lemke & Sons.
“To win and award in this highly competitive category is quite an achievement,” says Ken Kanline, Director of the Awards.
The Chrysalis Awards program, begun in 1994, recognizes the nation’s best remodeling work in four regional competitions that encompass the entire US.
